I swear on my insomnia
The world will be fast asleep
by the time I wake up
In the most secret island’s grip,
May be in a complex terrain
In the garb of questions,
What is not in this room
For which there is an empty space,
What is not in this book
For which there’s a plain page,
For whom
I am waiting beyond life,
For what I distance myself
from me in the flamboyant cell?
When words and notes
scattered all around
Name plates start falling
from the wall,
Song of broken strings
Meadows’ soliloquy heard aloud,
Uninhibited love gets scribbled
On green patches of solitude,
To unravel
Illegible writings of aloneness
In the brightest day
A lamp be lighted.
Then a broken tendon
Takes me down a quiet saunter
Into an empire of distant hope
When the other side of world
Pulls the shutter down
There I resume my moonwalk
Trespassing into
Dance of darkness
Concert of dead stars
Midnight’s fragrant flowers
And whisper of unspoken words!
